A little about EPDM

Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer not the easiest name in the world to remember so everybody uses it's more common name EPDM.

Within the past few years more and more householders have realised that EPDM synthetic rubber is the modern answer. It comes in one piece the size of the roof which negates the problems associated with parting joints. EPDM rubber will flex and resists all changes in temperature without cracking or peeling and is resistant to atmospheric pollution.

EPDM is environmentally friendly and stands up well against other flat roofing materials such as PVC or Bituminous products.

EPDM synthetic rubber is not as new as you might imagine. The first Synthetic Rubber Membranes developed in America and were laid in the 1960's and are still protecting flat roofs some 40 years later.
